Physiotherapy
Confidence in the Way You Move
Our Physiotherapy service is all about helping you rediscover what your body can do after brain injury, stroke or other neurological diagnosis.
At Sakura Allied Health, we know movement is about more than getting from A to B - it’s about feeling capable, staying active and enjoying the moments that matter.
After a brain injury, stroke or other neurological diagnosis, changes to strength, balance, coordination, mobility or fitness can make some of those things feel harder than they used to. Our Physiotherapists work with people living with acquired brain injury (ABI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke and other neurological conditions to build confidence in movement and work towards the physical activities that matter to them.
What Can Physiotherapy Help With?
We want you to feel safe and confident in your movement, whatever you’re doing.
Together, we can work on:
-
Changes to strength, balance, coordination and mobility can affect how confidently you move through everyday life.
Physiotherapy can help you build physical capacity and practise the movements you need to get around more safely and confidently - whether that’s walking longer distances, getting up and down stairs, navigating uneven ground or moving through busy public spaces.
-
Being active can play an important role in both physical health and quality of life. We can work with you to gradually build your fitness and find ways to make movement part of everyday life again, with exercises and activities shaped around your interests, abilities and goals.
-
Maybe you want to get back on the bike, return to the gym, kick a footy around, go swimming or get back to a sport you loved before your injury. We can help you work towards those activities by building the strength, coordination, fitness and confidence you need along the way. Your goals don’t have to look like anyone else’s. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
-
Real life doesn’t happen on a perfectly flat surface in a treatment room. We can help you practise the movements and situations you encounter in everyday life; navigating stairs, uneven surfaces, crowded spaces, public transport or getting around your home and community. The aim is to help you feel safer and more confident moving through the environments that are part of your life.
-
After a brain injury or stroke, movement can require more energy than it used to. We can help you understand how fatigue affects your physical capacity and develop practical strategies for balancing activity, rehabilitation and recovery (without losing sight of the things you want to do).
-
Dizziness, vertigo, balance difficulties and visual symptoms can make movement feel unpredictable and sometimes pretty daunting. Vestibular Physiotherapy uses targeted assessment, exercises and rehabilitation strategies to help manage vestibular symptoms and build confidence with movement and everyday activities.

Persistent or complex pain following a brain injury can affect movement, activity, sleep, confidence and participation in everyday life. We’ll work with you to understand how pain is affecting the things you want to do and find practical ways to build movement and activity back into your life at a pace that works for you.
At Sakura, Physiotherapy is about more than movement. We’ll help you work towards the activities you enjoy with practical support, encouragement and some fun along the way.
